What is FBML?
FBML is Facebook’s version of HTML, This particular application, which was created by Facebook and can be added to your pages, allows you to create a “web page” within a tab or box that you can attach to your page.
How do find the Static FBML application and install it?
Like any other application, Static FBML can be found by using the search on Facebook. Simply type in: Static FBML.
In the results list you will find listings for both Applications and Pages. You are looking for the Application so click on that.
Once you’re on the page for the Static FBML application, you will look for the link to “add application to my page” which should be at the top left of the screen, under the logo for the application.
Clicking the link brings up a popup window which allows you to select the page you’d like to add it to
After you have added the app, pull up your Facebook fan page. Now you have a new tab called “FBML” on your page but it is blank. To edit FBML click on “Edit Page” of your fan page.
In list of application find the Static-FBML and click on “Edit” to add content to FBML Page.
After getting the Editing mode two boxes will appears “Box Title” & “FBML”. In Box Title give name for your FBML TAB and at FBML add Html Content which will display as a static page at FBML TAB.
Save the changes and go to your fan page. The FBML TAB will appear with given title to FBML box. To set it as a landing page just click on “Setting” tab at your page wall. You will find drop down box named “Default Landing Tab for Everyone Else”. From the list select FBML tab. That’s all.
After completing this Process the FBML Tab will appear first whenever your fan page will open. See how easy is this!
